We’re super pleased to announce that our Move for Mobility campaign, held in May earlier this year, has won the Web Marketing Association’s 2024 WebAward in two categories; ‘Medical Standard of Excellence’ and ‘Non-Profit Standard of Excellence’.
Move for Mobility was a successful global humanitarian initiative with our partner, Free Wheelchair Mission. It brought together 425 of our employees worldwide to participate in a ‘get moving’ campaign. We raised $28k, funding 294 wheelchairs for people in remote communities during the month.
Free Wheelchair Mission is a US-based humanitarian nonprofit that distributes wheelchairs to people without access to mobility equipment in developing countries. Since 2001, the organization has distributed over 1.4 million wheelchairs in 95 countries.
This award was for our purpose-built web platforms used during the campaign.
Arielle Favard, Digital Communications Specialist, said:
“We are incredibly proud to receive the 2024 WebAward for our Move for Mobility campaign in partnership with Free Wheelchair Mission. It’s been a rewarding and inspiring project, with a purpose that has had a real positive impact.
“This award inspires all of us at Invacare to continue innovating and providing the resources, platforms and voice that our communities need to lead active, independent lives.”
Free Wheelchair Mission’s Head of Marketing, Brad Cooper added:
“We are deeply grateful for the incredible partnership with Invacare. Together, we’ve been able to make a life-changing impact for hundreds of individuals around the world by providing the gift of mobility.
“This recognition by the Web Marketing Association highlights the power of collaboration and purpose-driven action to transform lives.”
Thank you to the Web Marketing Association for this recognition and thank you to all teams involved around the world. We look forward to Move for Mobility in May 2025.
